With nearly two decades of years of coaching experience spanning two continents, Coach Steve Corcoran has earned a reputation as a dynamic and dedicated soccer coach both in his native Ireland and across the United States.

Steve began his coaching journey at his hometown club, Bonagee United, where he led youth teams and quickly became a trusted leader in player development. His coaching credentials deepened at the senior level with the Donegal Junior League Team and Downtown United in Letterkenny, where he sharpened his ability to manage game-day strategy and squad development.

His success at the grassroots level earned him a role with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) as the Assistant Regional Development Officer for Donegal, and Head Coach of the National Summer Program, mentoring hundreds of players and coaches. He also worked at the academy level with Finn Harps FC, developing U17 and U19 players bound for professional environments.

In 2014, Coach Steve brought his talents to the United States, where he has since held coaching and leadership positions with UK Elite Soccer, Youth Elite Soccer, and New York Soccer Club, where he served as Girls’ Head Scout and Coach. Steve has also coached at the high school level with Archbishop Stepinac High School and Sacred Heart School, and at the collegiate level as Goalkeeper Coach for both the University of Bridgeport Women’s Team and the Iona University Men’s Team.

Currently, Coach Steve is the Head Coach for New York City Football Club Girls’ Program, where he develops elite youth players and mentors staff across all age groups. He also serves as the Assistant Varsity Coach at Sacred Heart, where he promotes holistic development through sport and fitness. He continues to grow the game through his passion for development, leadership, and connection. Whether coaching beginners or high-performance athletes, he brings energy, structure, and joy to every session.
